By helping them to define their brand values and how to showcase them in a visual identity, Kwik is able to communicate trust and reliability while hinting at a local culture.
Kwik, a new startup based in Lagos, Nigeria. Kwik is a new, online, point to point urban delivery platform. The service, which can be summarised as ‘Uber for parcels in Nigeria’, aims to grow in Nigeria and then in the rest of Sub-Saharan Africa. We began working with the Kwik team when they were first starting out, through their software development and operations planning, to the beta release.
Kwik’s identity required to not only target large Lagos companies and local subsidiaries of foreign companies, but also small to medium-size companies, local businesses and e-commerce companies, and to also accompany the brand into a larger expansion across other cities in Nigeria.
The overall branding, developed with their team, demonstrates a sense of confidence of a company that will succeed and expand in its market.
The palette needed to be able to stand-out amongst local and global competitors. It needed to be relevant as well as familiar to the two primary users of Kwik. The hero colour – Nigerian Green1 – is confident and self-explanatory, Kwik bears the colour of the nation’s flag.
